- DESCRIPTION: Replacement of existing 69 ft. 2-span precast concrete bridge on wood piles with 93 ft. 3-span precast concrete bridge on concrete piles. Project requirements include but are not limited to the following: removal of existing bridge and disposal of bridge components off Forest Service land; clearing of all vegetation and debris from the channel within 50 ft. of the bridge centerline upstream and downstream; construction of 24 ft. x 93 ft. precast concrete bridge; installation of recycled plastic blocks between the concrete posts and guardrail for the entire length of each side of the bridge; placement of 200 tons of riprap; backfill and reconstruction of approaches; installation of approach rail at each bridge corner; seeding and mulching of construction-disturbed slopes and areas; installation of object markers and post-mounted delineators. GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: Between $100,000 and $250,000.00. LOCATION: Road 124, Milepost 1.00, Homochitto Ranger District, National Forests in Mississippi, Section 10, T5N, Franklin County, Mississippi PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING: Will be held June 20, 2006 at 9:00 A.M. CST, at the Bude Work Center, Homochitto Ranger District. The Homochitto Ranger District Office is located two miles east of Gardner and ten miles west of Alexandria, Louisiana. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry and must have completed a profile in the Online-Representations and Certifications database prior to award of a contract. Registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Vendors must also be registered in ORCA (Online Representations and Certifications) prior to contract award, and may accomplish this on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov. You must be registered in CCR and have an MPIN number before you can begin ORCA registration. SET-ASIDE: None. This project will be issued subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and will be available for FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. NAICS code is 237310.
