- Description
- The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCA) intends to issue a solicitation for a firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Requirements contract for the following equipment: one (1) each 05121-hydraulic pump assembly, one (1) each 05122-door circuit assembly, one (1) each 05123-winch circuit assembly, one (1) each 05124-anchor windlass assembly, and one (1) each 05125-accumulator assembly. This requirement is supported by a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition (JOTFOC) which restricts competition to Hydraulic Supply Company for limited competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The JOTFOC will be posted with the solicitation. The Coast Guard does not own specifications or drawings. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued on or about May 31, 2006 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at http://www.eps.gov. The RFQ number will be HSCG80-06-Q-3FAH20; hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FedBizOpps site for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. This RFQ will be issued on an unrestricted basis. This acquisition will include one base year with three one-year options. The contractor will be responsible for shipping the parts to the required Coast Guard facility. Individual delivery orders will provide the address. An estimated quantity of approximately 13 each may be ordered the first year, 16 each for option years one and two, and 17 each for option year three. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the USCG. The government will award a firm fixed price contract resulting from the RFQ to the responsible quoter whose conformance to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered which will be identified in the RFQ. Anticipated date of award is July 21, 2006.
