Description
This notice is issued for the purpose of market research. The Coast Guard does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market research or to otherwise pay for information received in response to this notice. Any response and documentation received will be treated as information only and it shall not be used as a proposal, quote or bid. The Coast Guard is investigating the replacement of existing pumps on board the 270? WMEC class cutters. This may include a complete pump unit with base plate, C-Face motor mount assembly, and attached electric drive motor as a single unit. Please be advised that the USCG is conducting Market Research Only. Questions pertaining to any future solicitations will not be answered at this time. 1. Equipment Salient Features: - Pump Type ? Centrifugal - Design Flow Range (gpm) ? 130-135 - Design Discharge Head Range (ft) ? 128 - Maximum NPSHR (ft) ? 10 - Maximum assembly length (inches) ? 15.0 - Maximum assembly width (inches) ? 15.0 - Maximum assembly height (inches) ? 45.0 - Fluid Service ? Chill Water - Motor rating ? 440VAC, 3 phase, 60 hertz, IEEE-45, NEMA MG-1, continuous duty, TEFC, 50 degree C - Pump unit style ? coupled - Flow alignment ? in-line - Assembly arrangement ? vertical - Materials ? In accordance with ASTM F-998 - Dimensions ? In accordance with ASME B73.2 Please respond, addressing each of the following items: 1. What type of products and services do you offer that might fulfill this requirements? Please send literature with a full description. 2. Are these products current production units? 3. Do you offer these products commercially? (to other than federal, state or local government) 4. If you do not offer a commercial product that already meets these requirements, do you offer a commercial product that could be modified to meet these requirements? If so please provide detailed literature for evaluation. 5. Do you believe there is a better method for the government to fulfill its requirements? If so, explain. 6. Do you expect to offer a new product or service some time in the future that might affect the product you are offering for this requirement? 7. Do you have experience using the services of Det Norske Veritas, American Bureau of Shipping or another Classification Society? Could you provide pumps that are certified by any of these classification societies? Is it normal commercial practice to provide these certifications? 8. Do your products or components meet any nationally recognized standards, for example ASME B73.2, ASTM F-998, ASTM F-1511, NEMA MG-1, and NEMA ICS-1? 9. What type of manufacturing or services quality control do you provide? Please provide a copy of the quality control if available. If not available, please explain in detail your standard practices for quality control. 10. What kind of standard testing is performed on your product? Please provide a copy of the standard testing or please explain in detail the type of testing performed. 11. Do you normally provide electronic file copy of drawings on CD in AutoCAD? 12. Do you have a commercial catalog for a related group of products or services? If so, please provide a copy or a web address. 13. Do you have a published price list for your products and/or services? If not, how do you determine pricing? 14. What type of quantity or other discounts do you offer your customers? 15. Do you offer long-term storage? If so, are there any additional charges for the long-term storage? Please define what your long term storage is. 16. What are your standard warranty terms? Does the warranty period start upon delivery of unit or upon installation of unit? Please provide a copy of the warranty terms. 17. What is the average life span of your product? How long will you support it? 18. What is the lead time for manufacturing and delivering these products? 19. Do you offer installation planning and services? If so, what is your average lead-time for your installation planning and services? 20. Do you provide technical publications, provisioning technical documentation and recommendations for on board repair parts and installation interface drawings commercially? If not commercially, is this something that you can provide? 21. What is your standard packaging and marking? Please provide details. Are there any additional charges for special marking (NSN, Part Number, Order Number), packing and packaging individually in their own individual box/crate and barcoding? 23. Manufacturers may submit any and all information, literature and documentation that they feel may be beneficial. 24. Is your company a small or large business (less than 500 employees)? 25. Are you a manufacturer or dealer? If not a manufacturer, please advise if the manufacturer of the production you are offering is a small or large business (less than 500 employees). 26. What is your shipping terms? F.O.B. Origin or Destination? 27. What is the country of origin of the product you are offering?
