Description
Provide labor and material to safely collect, package and transport radioactive animal carcasses, related waste and sealed sources used for research, testing and educational purposes for the Minneapolis VA Medical Center Veterinary Medical Unit. Contract period is from July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007 with one (1) one year renewal options. This solicitation is for a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.. All qualified offers are invited to provide their quotation. Offers, including options, shall be evaluated for fair and reasonable pricing, technical competency, and satisfactory past performance. The Government anticipates award of a commercial item contract to the offeror whose offer provides the best value to the Government. Award will be made utilizing the Simplified Acquisitions Procedures outlined in FAR part 13, and a combination of FAR part 12, 13, 15, and 17 award procedures. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about May 19, 2006 and will be issued via Fed Biz Opps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Offerors are responsible for checking the web site regularly to obtain amendments. Offers are due June 2, 2006 at 3:30pm CST. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing. They may be sent by email to: Jennifer.dallman@med.va.gov or by fax to 612-725-2072. No telephonic inquiries will be accepted. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the issuing office, be in accordance with the quotation preparation instructions outlined in the solicitation, and be timely. No web based offers will be accepted. The NACIS code assigned to this procurement will be 562211 with a size standard of $11.5 million.
