Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516, to procure engineering and logistics support necessary for In Service Support (ISS) of the F/A-18 aircraft for both USN and FMS countries. McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the sole designer, producer and supporter of the F/A-18 aircraft and is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, facilities, tooling, and special test equipment to provide In Service Support. This contract will include: Program Management, In-Service Engineering, Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Management, Continual Assessment of Life Cycle Logistics Support, Training System Management, Configuration Management, Supply Support Requirements and Analysis, Technical Publications, Modifications/Retrofit, and Support Equipment (SE) Engineering/ILS and Management.
