- DESCRIPTION: This project consists of the reconstruction of the Double Lake Recreation Area entrance road. Work includes but is not limited to excavation, placement of crushed aggregate surfacing, prime-coating of aggregate base, single asphalt surface treatment, and marking of pavement in accordance with contract requirements. GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: Between $100,000 and $250,000.00. LOCATION: Double Lake Recreation Area, Sam Houston National Forest, Sam Houston Ranger District Office, National Forests & Grasslands in Texas, San Jacinto County, on Farm to Market (FM) 2025, 2 miles southwest of Cold Springs, Texas. From Cold Springs, proceed west on State Hwy 150 to FM 2025. Turn right on FM 2025 to Double Lake Recreation Area on left. The Sam Houston National Forest, one of four National Forests in Texas, is located 50 miles north of Houston. The district ranger's office is located three miles west of New Waverly on FM 1375. PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING: Will be held June 21, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. CST, at the entrance to Double Lake Recreation Area. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry and must have completed a profile in the Online-Representations and Certifications database prior to award of a contract. Registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Vendors must also be registered in ORCA (Online Representations and Certifications) prior to contract award, and may accomplish this on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov. You must be registered in CCR and have an MPIN number before you can begin ORCA registration. SET-ASIDE: None. This project will be issued subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and will be available for FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. NAICS code is 237310.
