Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with VLSI Research, Inc., Santa Clara, CA, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting From a Single Source, to renew annual on-line subscription service to the Market Leader Version of CHIP MAKING MARKETS. This is a sole source requirement as the contractor is the only source that provides unlimited access to statistical information pursuant to the semiconductor/chip marking markets. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about May 31, 2006 for calendar year 2007 with one 1 year option period for calendar year 2008. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition
