Description

000HCAJ8-2006-30372 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Johnson Controls, Inc., 5757 N Green Bay Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53209-4408. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR 13.106-1(b). The purchase order is to: (1) Provide 1 Cardreader with all required accuterments as required to control Freight Elevator access to each of 13 floors in Building 21, Roybal Campus, Atlanta, GA; (2) Relocate Reader from Building 21, Roybal Campus, Room 7124 to Room 7212; (3) Provide Battery back-up for all functions; (4) Provide full operator graphics in the Atlanta Roybal Security Operations Center (SOC). Provide Visual Source Save (VSS) documentation and Office of Security and Emergency Preparedness (OSEP) Website documentation; (5) All work shall be accomplished in accordance with NFPA 70, NFPA 72, and NFPA 101; (6) All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification Section 17100 and 17984 (see attached).This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available . Firms that believe they can provide these items are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days of the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining to conduct a competitive procurement.
