- THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENTS INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ACTION. The Government intends to award a sole-source action to Pecorius and Associates, Inc. to assess the chemical treatment program at the Fort Wainwright CHPP to include: conduct ing an on-site survey of the CHPP to identify any current or potential water treatment related problems and their associated causes; develop and evaluate potential corrective measures; and recommend the means to correct any short-term and long-term feedwat er treatment problems. As part of the assessment the contractor will determine the effectiveness of the current water treatment program, the chemicals used, the cost effectiveness of the current treatment system, effectiveness and cost evaluation of the c urrent chemical treatment maintenance contract and provide recommendations for improvement. This announcement is for information only. No solicitation is available. A determination by the government not to compete the proposed purchase order, based upon responses to this notice, is at the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely to determine the merit of conducting a competitive procurement. Firms intending to provide submittals must submit detailed information indicating their ability to meet the governments requirements. All inquiries must be received by 2 PM (1400 Alaska Time) on 24 May 06. To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered in the DoD Central contractor Registration (CCR).
