- This construction solicitation is for the renovation of U. S. Coast Guard Sector Mobile Armory Mobile, Alabama 36615-1390. Solicitation due date: This solicitation is due in the U. S. Coast Guard Sector Mobile Supply Office no later that 3:30 PM on June 14, 2006. If the prospective contractor chooses to fax their quote, the fax number is (251) 441-5412. It is the prospective contractor?s responsibility to verify the receipt of the fax. Government Furnished Equipment: None References: All work shall be safely performed in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local requirements. Scope of Work: The prospective contractor shall remove all old molding and install new molding on the top and bottom of all walls. The prospective contractor shall recess conduit/LAN/Alarm wiring into new walls. The prospective contractor shall recess sprinkler piping. The prospective contractor shall remove existing vent hood and replace with contractor furnished vent hood. The prospective contractor shall remove existing alarm control boxes and replace with contractor furnished alarm control boxes. The prospective contractor shall remove existing attic access and install contractor furnished lockable access with fold down ladder. The prospective contractor shall remove the existing attic access ladder The prospective contractor shall provide labor for moving office and vault materials. The prospective contractor shall install a contractor furnished steel door with a peep hole, new handle hardware and high security lock hardware. The prospective contractor shall replace all of existing wall studs damaged by termite infestation. The prospective contractor shall furnish and replace existing electrical plugs with up to code hardware. The prospective contractor shall install dedicated HVAC system with thermostat in Armory. The prospective contractor shall prep flooring and install epoxy based industrial floor coating with specks. Floor dimensions are 25'x15' square. There will be a subtle decrease in the square footage due to the vault walls. The prospective contractor shall remove all old paneling and replace with new sheetrock. Total lengths for the walls in the armory is 8' high and total run of sheetrock is 67'4" The prospective contractor shall prep and paint all sheetrock. The prospective contractor shall prep and paint vault exterior walls. The prospective contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete all work noted above. The contractor should take note to the Federal Acquisition Regulations Clause 52.232-33. If contractor is to be paid with a government purchase order, the method of payment from the government to the prospective contractor shall be in electronic transfer form. The contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. This registration can be accomplished at the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov/ 2. Except as previously noted, all work performed under this contract will be performed at Coast Guard Sector Mobile. 3. Department of Labor Wage Determinations pursuant to the Davis-Bacon Act, which sets statutory minimum wages for contractor employees are incorporated into this solicitation/contract. These determinations are included in this solicitation/contract. Insurance: 1. The contractor shall provide proof of insurance for the following: (1) Public Liability (2) Contractor?s Liability (3) Property Damage (4) Workmen?s Compensation (if employing others) (5) Automobile Liability Award Criteria: 1. This solicitation for work will be awarded based on two combined factors, best value to the federal government and overall price quotation to complete the required work.. The best value criteria shall be based on: (1) Past work performance on comparable jobs of this size. (contractor should provide references) (2) Proof of by local city, county or state licensing board(s). (3) Better Business Bureau rating (if available)
