Description: The 377 CONS/LGCA intends to award sole source to Aerostar International, Inc. for the purchase of 2 High Altitude Mobile Pointing Platform (HAMPP) Balloons for the Space Vehicles Directorate Spacecraft Intergration and Test Branch. Market research continues to prove there are no other vendors/manufacturers that can fulfill this requirement. The contractor shall design and build a zero-pressure balloon capable of carrying a 1,250 pound suspended payload to a float altitude of 100,000 feet MSL. Helium gas is the only acceptable gas to be used for these balloons.
