- Description
- The proposed contract is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. This is a follow-on requirement. The Contractor shall provide all services, management, administration, personnel, equipment, materials, supplies, and transportation except as specified as Government Furnished Property and Services. The contractor shall perform preventive and corrective maintenance, overhauls, including electronic evaluation while underway, installation (on equipment located on exposed, elevated locations on boats, on structures, e.g towers, in marine environment, and in the vicinity of operating helicopters.) The requirement also includes: de-installation, modifications, equipment inventory control, and technical assistance to Coast Guard units. The Coast Guard will provide electronics shops in Seattle and Port Angeles, Washington; North Bend, Yaqunia Bay, Astoria, and Portland, Oregon. Service is within the Thirteenth Coast Guard District which includes the states of Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. The contractor is also required to provide additional miscellaneous support, which includes various types of electronic support or services not included in other contract requirements and will be ordered separately as needed. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 6/19/06. All interested 8(a) firms are encouraged to download a copy of the solicitation. The Solicitation will include fixed-price service items, as well as task hour, and unit priced indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery line items. A technical proposal will be required and award will be made on best value to the Government. Offeror?s will be required to submit a price proposal and technical proposal under a separate cover. The solicitation will be issued via the FedBizOps Electronic Posting Systems at www.fbo.gov under Vendor, DHS, United States Coast Guard, Commander (fcp-2) USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Alameda, CA. Telephone, written, and e-mail requests for hard copies of the solicitation package will not be accepted, the solicitation must be extracted from the web site. The NAICS code is 811219. The size standard is no more than $6.5 million.
