Description

Scope of Work: 1. The prospective contractor shall complete all work using appropriate trade methods, with work being completed in a neat uniform manner. 2. The prospective contractor shall use all methods practical to avoid pier debris from falling in the water. 3. The prospective contractor shall replace the missing pile cap at Bent # 1 using new rough cut marine grade treated lumber with new galvanized connection hardware of the appropriate size. 4. The prospective contractor shall remove the old cross bracing, block and hardware at Bent # 1 and replace with new rough cut marine grade treated timbers of like kind and new galvanized connection hardware. 5. The prospective contractor shall install a center stringer that will run the entire length of the pier. The stringer shall be 3? x 12? rough cut marine grade treated lumber. Stringer shall be attached to each pile cap with new galvanized connection hardware made of the appropriate size. 6. The prospective contractor shall remove all old decking and replace with new 2? x 12? x 8? rough cut marine grade treated lumber, fastened in place with galvanized nails of appropriate size. 7. The prospective contractor shall replace one stringer between Bent # 4 and Bent # 7 on the north side of pier. Contractor may use existing hardware if serviceable. 8. The prospective contractor shall furnish all equipment, materials, tools and labor to complete all installations, except as noted under government furnished equipment. 9. The prospective contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all pier debris.
