- Full Isolation Cubicles Description / Specifications / Statement of Work St Louis VA Medical Center Needed for Biochemistry Research room: Six Full Isolation Cubicles: Nominal Dimensions 84"W x 84"H x 64"D Three cubicles end to end against wall Three cubicles end to end against wall across from the first three Cubicles Construction: -Shall provide maximum separation, isolation, containment, and a controlled environment for laboratory animals. - Walls and ceilings shall be a smooth surface which provides for ease of cleaning - Walls and Ceilings shall provide noise suppression which reduces the animal's exposure to stressful noises. - Nominal Door Openings shall be approximately 74"W x 84"H - Door ways shall not have thresholds. This allows for easy movement of items in and out of the Cubicle.... - Door shall be electric powered automatic telescoping vertical doors. - Door controls shall be accessible from interior and exterior - Door sections shall be constructed of clear material that is highly resistant to scratches for maximum visibility of animals. Cubicle Ventilation - Shall have electronic fan control for automatic control of air exchanges. - Ventilation system shall provide Positive and Negative Pressure as needed to cubicle. - Ventilation system shall provide 25 air exchanges - Ventilation shall be controlled by programmable microprocessor w/ digital readout and key pad with user entry coding to tack personal entering and leaving cubicle - Digital readout per cubicle shall provide continuous monitoring of air flow, differential pressures, temperature, and humidity. - Digital readouts shall interface with computer workstation program for monitoring, control, storage and retrieval of environmental data. - Air shall be drawn into the cubicles and exhaust out of building. - HEPA filters shall be used for both supply and exhaust. - Shall include pre-filter and post-filter system to remove large particulate prior to entering and exiting HEPA filtration. - Ventilation system shall operate with minimum noise to reduce stress to research animals.
