Description

This is a sources sought (market research) for a non-developmental items prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in FAR Subpart 5.207, 10, and 12.101 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Veterans Affairs Special Services (VASS) has a FY 07 requirement for the Air Force Medical Operations Agency (AFMOA) for maintenance, inspection, and repair services of Frequency Converters. This requirement will support the United States Air Force (USAF) patient air evacuation mission to convert power generated by an aircraft into usable power by medical equipment that accompanies patients during an air-evacuation. These are a list of the requirements: The contractor shall provide the services at their facility and ship to the designated location selected by the Government. The contractor shall provide inspection, repair, and maintenance services required to repair Government owned frequency converters on an as needed basis. Contractor shall be certified and provided services on the following models 4B3500-1A-MV-735 and 4B3500-1A-MV-1564. Contractor shall be Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified. Contractor shall be able to provide proof of repairing frequency converter number 4B3500-1A-MV-735 within the past five (5) years. This announcement constitutes the only document to be issued. This sources sought number is 797-FDF6-06-0080. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-08. Charles. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 488190 and the business size standard is $6.0M. REQUESTERS MUST STATE THEIR BUSINESS SIZE ON EACH REQUEST. Women and small disadvantaged business are encouraged to submit information. Please provide the following information if your company can provide the services listed above: 1. Company name, point of contact, mailing address, cage code, Tax ID, phone number, and email address. 2. State business size (large, small, veteran owned, etc.) 3. State if this services is on Federal Supply Schedule or not. If this service is on schedule, please provide the schedule number and a copy of the schedule. 4. State experience and type of certification and training your company have with these types of converters. 5. Provide any information that you think will be helpful in the request. This document serves a market research only, this not a solicitation. This information will be used for planning purposes. The Government will not make any award with the information provided from this document. Funding is subject to the availability of funds IAW FAR Clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds, since this is a FY 07 requirement. This requirement will be for a base year and four option years. The Government reserves the right to cancel this requirement, either before or after the closing. Contractors that are debarred, suspended, or proposed for debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Contractors must be registered in CCR to be considered for award. FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration (Oct 2003) (B)(2) the offeror shall provide its DUNS or, if applicable, it?s DUNS+4 number with its offer, which will be used by the contracting officer to verify that the offeror is registered in the CCR database. (C) Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
