Description

Item 0001: NSN 2840-01-318-7654PR, P/N: 9531M94P02, NOUN: Seal, Metallic, Aircraft, Applicable to the F110-100 engine. Dimensions: B50TF15 CL-C INCO 718.1.624 inch long dia. Counter-sunk to 0.36 inch min -0.37 inch max. Quantity: 53ea (Min-26/Max-67), Delivery: 53ea on or before 29 Sep 2006, FOB Origin, Tinker AFB, OK 73145. Technical data has been uploaded into FedTeds, www.fedteds.gov. Approximate date of solicitation is 7 Jun 2006. Anticipated date of award is 10 Aug 2006. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps and should be obtained from there. Please do not call this office for a solicitation. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor is acceptable. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will contain instructions on obtaining further instructions on the qualification requirement. Due to the complexity and criticality of the parts, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items can be considered for approved sources for this item. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 October 1984, and this item qualifies under FAR 9.206-1(a)(2) and the requirements of FAR 9.202(a) are not applicable. Award will not be withheld awaiting qualification. A Government First Article Test will be required if the contractor has not made this item within the past 36 months. First Article: FOB-Destination. Government new/unused surplus is acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a proposal/quote/bid, which if timely, will be considered. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal developmental phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the contracting officer or the program director but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
