Description
The Retrograde Property Assistance Teams (RPAT) will be assigned to designated locations within the OIF AOR in order to expedite turn-in of all excess CL VII rolling / non-rolling Theater Provided Equipment (TPE) while maintaining positive property a ccountability and asset visibility. Units will transport identified excess equipment with required documentation to the Central Receiving & Supply Point (CRSP) / RPAT Forward Retrograde Site. The mobile RPATs will inspect, inventory, process, verify documentation, sign for equipment (Govt Rep), and assemble the equipment in preparation for transportation out of the OIF Iraqi Zone. The mobile RPAT team will also post all transactions and equipment data to a Microsoft (MS) Excell spreadsheet / Access database. The mobile RPAT Team will then forward the lateral transfer documentation to the local TPBO (TPE) office or, in some cases, to the RPAT operations team in Brigade HQ for the transfer to be posted in PBUSE. The RPAT operations PBO (Govt Rep) will initiate the subsequent lateral transfe r to facilitate movement of the equipment to AFSBn-Kuwait. The RPAT operations team will maintain positive asset visibility and MS Access database management. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This announcement satisfies the requirement of FAR 6.302-1(d)(2). Interested persons may ident ify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received within 10 calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Govern ment. A determination by the Government not to compete with this contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whethe r to conduct a competitive procurement.
