Description

USDA, VS has a requirement for a general contractor to provide labor, services, material and equipment necessary to modernize the New York Animal Import Center as described in the drawings and specifications which will be made available when the solicitation is released. The effort involves renovation of portions of 19 buildings on the facility. All work shall be done in accordance with the latest building codes and will comply with local, Federal and State codes, is subject to Davis Bacon and requires a bid bond. The company receiving the contract will be required to obtain all necessary permits and licenses, will submit performance and payment bonds and proof of insurance. This contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price contract with deduct alternate items and unit priced deduct/add items. The selection criteria will be best value not low bid. Questions on the project may be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. This solicitation will be announced full and open competition and all responsible parties may submit a proposal. The dollar value for this effort is estimated between $4M and $5M, therefore an acceptable subcontracting plan will be needed prior to award. A copy of the solicitation will be available at this office for review after the posting date. Instructions on obtaining copies of the drawings and specifications will be provided in the solicitation. Parties interested in submitting a proposal should monitor this website for the solicitation and any amendments. The due date for proposals will be established when the solicitation is released.
