Description

The National Institute on Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, 1000 Hilltop Circle, Baltimore, MD 21250 for a project, "Personality and 24-hour Nutritional Recall in HANDLS Participants". UMBC will administer personality inventories and 24-hour nutritional recall to participants in the HANDLS study. Time limitations restricted administering the NEO-PI-R as part of the ongoing baseline assessment of the HANDLS study. This follow-up study will administer supplementary inventories, create data files for subsequent statistical analyses, and provide interim follow-up status on participants enrolled previously in the HANDLS study. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 561110 and the size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirement of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
