A First Article Test is required. Technical data has been uploaded into FedTeds, www.fedteds.gov. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. AWARD WILL NOT BE WITHHELD AWAITING QUALIFICATION. Potential sources are not to utilize intellectual property of third parties without appropriate authorization of the intellectual property owner. Potential sources are cautioned that no part of the government property qualification requirement is intended to endorse or encourage the improper use of intellectual property developed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer or any other third party. Form/Fit/Function: #4 Bearing Scavenge Tube is used to scavenge oil from the #4 bearing area on the F100 engine. Material: Stainless Steel. Dimensions: .035 inch wall thickness, .874 outer diameter and approx 24 inches long prebent tube. Tube is brazed into diffuser case. Destination: Tinker AFB, OK. Delivery: Increments of 5 each starting on or before January 2007. The approximate solicitation issue date will be June 2, 2006. The anticipated award date will be July 10, 2006. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, CT. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, technical capability, and past performances detailed in the solicitation. Note: an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
