Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Air Vehicle Modification and Instrumentation Group has a requirement for equipment to be procured as a part of a concept demonstration exploration, which is examining emerging technologies in the area of data acquisition. The government intends to procure this equipment from Teletronics Technology Corporation (TTC), 15 Terry Drive, Newtown Pennsylvania 18940. This equipment will be used to augment the existing concept demonstration system/program risk reduction measures. The items being procured under this synopsis must be compatible with the existing TTC system. Further, TTC possesses the intellectual property rights permitting the integration of the 1588 Technology into the existing TTC system. The original concept demonstration was based on flight test equipment from TTC. The technology area that the activity is adding is the IEEE-1588 Network Timing System for flight test instrumentation. The government intends to buy. 1) NSW-8GT-TG-D 1 ea, Gigabit Ethernet Switch, 2) MnVD-2000 1 ea, Video Data Source Interface Assembly, 3) MMPCM-2000 1 ea. PCM Data Source Interface Assembly, 4) ETN-304E 1 EA, Four Channel 10/100 Base-T Ethernet Card, 5) Non-recurring Engineering (NRE) Modification for DSI/PCM, 6) NRE 1 ea, software development to change from DAR format to Chapter 10 format. The equipment will be use to augment the demonstration, which was based on flight test equipment from Teletronics Technology Corp. (TTC). The intent of this procurement is to integrate the equipment into the existing concept demonstration system. TTC is the manufacture of the equipment and is the sole proprietor of these items. These additional items must work integrally with the existing concept demonstration. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes statement in which they identify their interest capability. All capabilities statement received by 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, 31 May 2006, will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this provision. Therefore, it is incumbent on the interested party to provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment of capabilities of the alternate equipment. The government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
