Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the commercial item identified below, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number: FBO-BMPS31221 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This procurement shall be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) code is 33999. The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, (APHIS), National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL), Ames, IA intends to procure 50,000 IATA certified secondary pressure vessels or specimen transport bags. Minimum specifications required: IATA certified for diagnostic specimens per packaging instruction 650, capable of withstanding an internal pressure differential of 95kPa without leaking, single use, disposable, capable of holding up to 24-10ml vials, approx. size not larger than 11 x 14? described as a medium size. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through the most current Federal Acquisition Circular. Offer shall include 52.212-3 representations and certifications which may be submitted from website: http://orca.bpn.gov. Faxed quotations are acceptable to Deb Brock at 515-663-7247 on or before June 12, 2006 by email to Deborah.K.Brock@aphis.usda.gov or fax: 515-663-7247. All responses will be evaluated in order to determine the ability to meet the above stated capabilities. The Government shall award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsive/responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government per FAR 13.106-2. RESPONSES SHALL INCLUDE technical specifications, descriptive material, literature, brochures and other such information which demonstrates the capabilities of the offerors equipment. The anticipated award date is June 13, 2006. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the Agency. All offers should include tax payer identification number _______________, DUNS number________________, Cage code_________________ and business size. All vendors responding must be registered in the Central Registration System (CCR) by due date.
