Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13 through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-9. The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), National Geodetic Survey (NGS) intends to procure a high performance Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Ground Tracking System. NOAA requires maintenance services to commence at the expiration of the warranty period of the new equipment. The specifications of the required GNSS systems are detailed in the attached Statement of Work, 'National Geodetic Survey Global Navigation Satillite System (GNSS), May 1, 2006'. The Government shall award a firm fixed price purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the qualified responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the requirements of this solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Responses must be received by 12:00 Noon, May 31, 2006.
