Description
This amendment is for solicitation numbers 246-06-Q-0034A, 246-06-Q-0034B and 246-06-Q-0034C. The following questions were received from interested sources. Answers provided by the Project Officer follow each question: 1. In regards to the PACS portion of the solicitation, is the group (Lawton USPHS Indian Hospital)interested in receiving proposals from PACS vendors such as BRIT Systems, in this case would compete with Ramsoft, or are they only targeting Ramsoft distributors to get the best price for a Ramsoft solution? We (Lawton USPHS Indian Hospital) would prefer RAMSOFT as our PAC System. 2. A list of all the modalities that are expected to send images to the archive as well as the current DICOM classes they support (Do they each support DICOM Store and DICOM Modality Work List? Do they support one and not the other?) This information will determine the integration and components required to acquire images. ANSWER: A List of modalities: a. 1 - 16 slice Digital CT (will support latest Dicom Classes); b. 1 - DR (part of lease); c. 4 - CR (part of lease); d. 2 - US (needs digital upgrade, will support latest Dicom Classes); e. 4 - Imagers (part of lease); f. 1 - Radiologist Workstation (part of lease); g. 2 - Administrative Workstation (part of lease); h. 31- Clinical Workstations (part of lease); i. 1 - HIS/RIS gateway (part of lease); j. 2 - Digitizers (part of lease). 3. Does each site have a Hospital Information System (HIS)? YES, are they expected to enter orders and patient demographics in that system and integrate to the PACS? YES. Or, will each site require a RIS product? NO. If a site has a HIS system that will need to be integrated, what type is it? RPMS. And does it support HL-7? YES. 4. At each of the sites, will the radiologists continue to dictate the way they currently do? NO. Will they be interested in upgrading to a different product for dictation? Voice Activated Dictation will need to be included in Radiologist Workstation and PACS Software. This information will determine what type of voice dictation to expect to integrate with, or initiate the proposal of a new dictation solution. 5. At each site, what application is used for billing (what vendor and model)? VA 3RD Party Billing System V 2.5. Since the RIS/PACS solution will need to integrate to the billing applications (perhaps the billing is part of the HIS?) YES. 6. What are the bandwidth specifications between all 3 sites? We have a dedicated T1 at each facility. The RFQ closing date of June 2, 2006, is not changed by this amendment.
