Description

The proposed contract is for supplies for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. The proposed source is Technipower LLC. The supplies being procured are as follows: 4ea. 5x5x5 inch cubical AC-DC Modular Power Supplies with an input voltage of 110 Volts AC and an output voltage of 23.3 volts DC and an output current of 1.5 amps with a low ripple output. The second item is twenty two 5x5x5x inch cubical AC-DC Modular Power Supplies with an input voltage of 220 Volts AC and an output voltage of 28 volts DC with an output current of 3 amps with a low ripple output. Additionally it is required that the above power supplies have the ability to provide protection against transients and over voltage conditions resulting from lightning and the ability to operate with poor power quality and variable input frequencies. The government anticipates a sole source award to Technipower LLC for the following reason: Market research concluded the Technipower LLC is the only vendor available to support requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however the government will consider responses received within 15 days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Phone calls will not be accepted.
