The contractor shall design, integrate, document, test, and d eliver all Version 11 software insertions which will be government furnished for the Lot 11 aircraft in Apache Longbow Extended Block II contract W58RGZ-06-C-0093. Software Version 11 engineering effort shall support Army Software Blocking (SWB)-2 Certifi cation Testing to begin in June 2007 and Lot 11 production delivery schedule (SBVT in July 2007, First delivery in October2007). The Version 11 engineering effort was initiated under the Software Blocking Solutions Phase I and II contract modifications to the MYII contract DAAH23-00-C-0001. The Version 11 effort to be performed is the third and final phase of the Software Blocking Solutions effort begun by McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, Mesa, Arizona . This effort was begun under the MYII contract and shall include only the remaining effort. The estimated Period of Performance for this effort is contract award 2006-Nov 2007. The proposed acquisition is limited to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company , doing business as MDHC, Commercial and Government Entity, CAGE Code 8V613, 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 85205, since they are the sole designer and provider of the previous versions of the software for the aircraft. MDHC is the only contractor with the technical and software engineering knowledge and proprietary technical data necessary to maintain configuration control. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. All responsibl e sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. See note 22.
