Description

SOURCES SOUGHT---SOLE SOURCE ACTION This is a notice of the Governments intent to award a Sole Source Action. The Government intends to award a sole-source action to Alfa Laval Inc., c/o Mahans Thermal Products Inc. for four (4) each- Alfa Laval Model M10-BDFG Plate and Frame Heat Exchang ers, three (3) each- 4 Backflush valves and controls, and three (3) each- Alfa Laval Standard Drip Pans for the Generator/Pump Units at the Richard B. Russell Power Plant, Elberton, GA. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302, Only One Responsible Source and no other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notic e of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all quotations received within 15 days after the date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract wil l be based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested firms shall include, in writing, the company name, address , point of contact, telephone number, and business size; and a statement regarding their capabilities and qualifications to perform the work described via email to Sarah Emerson, Contract Specialist, sarah.h.emerson@sas02.usace.army.mil, no later than 2:00 pm 08 June 2006. Based on the response received, the Government will determine whether competition is feasible for this requirement.
