- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE for I-DEAS CAD/CAE/CAM Software to include the following modules: - Core Master Modeler (18 users) - Core Drafting (11 users) - Surfacing Set (2 users) - Assembly Set (15 users) - I-DEAS Simulation Solution S (2 users) - MasterFEM Package (3 users) - I-deas MasterFEM (Bundle) (2 users) - Harness Design (1 user - Laminate Composites (1 user) - TMG Radiation (3 users) - TMG Thermal (3 users - Standard Parts Catalog (1 user) - Material Data Catalog - MDLA (1 user) - Material Data Catalog - M (1 user) - Material Data Catalog - M (1 user) - STEP Data Translator (1 user) - MSC NASTRAN Data Translat (1 user) - Response Analysis (1 user) - Mechanism Design (2 users) - Master Notation (8 users) - I-DEAS Update Training (3 users) NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from UGS CORP., PLANO, TX. UGS CORP. is the only vendor who meets all of our requirements. The Authority is 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), Only One Responsibility Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, but quotes timely received by the response date will be considered. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing to YOLANDA WILLIAMS, (email preferred), via email at YOLANDA.A.WILLIAMS@nasa.gov or fax to 301-286-9159, no later than May 29, 2006. It is the offeror's responsibility for downloading their own copy of this notice and amendments (if any). Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to YOLANDA WILLIAMS, via email at YOLANDA.A.WILLIAMS@nasa.gov or fax to 301-286-9159,not later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (ET) on June 2, 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
