- Description
- The Defense Logistics Agency is currently seeking sources for the replacement of NSN 6210-01-343-1481, a 10 segment bar graph used in H-60 cockpit display panels. The next higher subassembly is the Central Display Unit Assembly, P/N 620-601165-000, digital indicator. The NSN item is a small light bulb which uses filament lighting technology and therefore, has a high failure and replacement rate. While an upgrade to the entire H-60 avionics suite is in development, complete implementation is not expected until 2026. In the meantime, the Department of Defense will continue to need to replace the 10 segment bar graph and other similar numeric displays at a significant rate. DLA is seeking information and/or sources that could develop either an adapter to plug into the existing display unit or a completely new item. New technologies such as Quantum dot technology and/or ultraviolet LED have been identified as able to generate the spectrum of light required to illuminate the digits of the display board. DLA, however, is open to any viable solution. General specifications include sunlight readable capabilities, and typical aircraft usage requirements relating to temperature, viewing angle, life, vibration resistance, humidity, altitude and moisture resistance. Demand requirements are considered to be significant. Familiarity or partnership with an organization that is familiar with government aeronautical flight requirements is recommended.
