Description

RFQs will be accepted until Friday, 02 June 2006, at 15:00 Eastern Standard Time. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is a small-business set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit a quote. ALL GOODS OFFERED IN RESPONSE TO THIS SOLICITATION MUST BE MANUFACTURED IN THE UNITED STATES. QUOTES SHOULD INDICATE AS SUCH. The Department of State requires the following items, Brand Name (RBR PASGT NIJ Level III-A) or Equal: Line Item 001: Ballistic Combat Helmets Level III-A, Color: Desert Tan; Size Medium, 1425 each Line Item 002: Ballistic Combat Helmets Level III-A, Color: Desert Tan; Size Large, 1425 each Line Item 003: Shipping to U.S. Despatch Agency, New York- Crating and Container Inc., 1200 Fuller Road, Linden, NJ 07036 Refer to the following supplemental questions and answers: 1) The color requested is "Desert Camouflage," however, should this read "Desert Tan" or are Desert Camouflage "covers" required with the helmets? A- The helmets should read Desert Tan, therefore, no cover is required. Award will be made to the responsible offeror with the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. Company must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR.gov) to eligible for award. Quotes submitted should include shipping and handling. To have a quote considered for award, all vendors must provide manufacturer part # and extended specifications of the exact model being proposed for all items. Failure to provide this information will result in a non-responsive quote and removal from award consideration.
