- The National Institute on Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a non-competitive basis with Michrom Bioresources, Inc., 1945 Industrial Drive, Auburn, CA 95603 for a nanoLC system. This system is specifically designed to interface with our current mass spectrometers from thermo Finnigan. The system comes with plug-ins for XCalibur software for full automation with our existing system. Michrom is the only known source. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS)code is 621511 and the size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirement of FAR, Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the government.
