- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration has a requirement for the Removal of existing 8' (7' fabric + 1' top guard) chain link fence and installation of new 10' high (9' fabric + 1' top guard) chain link fence on Northeast, North, East, and West fence lines at the New York TRACON Facility located at 1515 Stewart Avenue, Westbury, New York 11590. The estimated price range is between $100,000.00 and $150,000.00. The period of performance will be approximately 45 calendar days. The request for Offer will be sent to Perimeter Barrier Systems, Copiague, New York and Security Fence System Inc., Bronx, New York. The FAA will accept qualifications from an additional three contractors that are regularly engaged in the performance of installing chain link fences. The first three contractors to submit their qualifications will also be considered to receive the Request for Offer. Contractors wishing to qualify must submit proof of three years experience in this type of work, including name of three past projects, points of contact, with telephone numbers, bonding/insurance capability, and proof of license. Contractors place of business must be located within 40 miles of the TRACON Facility. Qualifications will be rated on a pass/ fail basis. Those who fail to submit the appropriate documentation will be disqualified. When the qualification process is complete the qualified vendors will receive the Request for Offer and the project will be awarded to the lowest offer received. Qualifications must be sent in DUPLICATE to: Federal Aviation Administration, ATTN: Ginger Morganti, 1 Aviation Plaza, Jamaica, New York 11434 by COB June 12, 2006.
