Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. F5F2MA6109A100 is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09, Effective 19 Apr 2006. This is a 100% small business set-aside NAICS Code 484220 size standard $21.5 million. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, tools, materials, and other items and services necessary to move industrial equipment at March ARB, CA. The contractor shall move heavy industrial equipment from current location on base to new facility on base. The move is to include unbolting, loading, hauling, offloading and placing of equipment to designated spot and reanchoring. Equipment consists of the following items: Cornice Brake, Power Shear, Vert Press Brake, Famco sml shear, Split Roller, Disc Sander, Box & Pan Brake, Eaton Tube Bender, Pacific Brake, Rotex Punch, Tube Single Flare, Tube Double Flare, Band Saw, 6 Inch Blt Sander, Burr King, Aluminium Chop Saw, Hot Dimpler, Shrink/Stretch Machine, Allen Drill Press, Pedestal Grinder, EZ Path Lathe, Apollo Mill, Bridgeport Mill, Radial Drill, Wellsaw Chop, Punch/Shear Machine, WellsBandsaw, Standard Modern Lathe, Clausing Lathe, Over Under Oven, Brobo Chop saw, Belt Sander, Buffer, 3 wacg TIG welders, Mig welder, Rod Cabinet and any other items to include furniture that is to be relocated. Prior to beginning the work, the contractor shall indicate to the Government any operations that may inhibit normal traffic flow. The contractor and all workers shall wear proper safety gear while working on or around the base. A pre-quote site visit is scheduled for 31 May 2006 at 1000 hours at the front gate pass & id office. Contractors are encouraged to attend. Contractors need to be ready to start the move on 12 June 2006. The government will consider industrial equipment moving/relocation experience/expertise and price in its evaluation of quotes. Quoters should provide a one page listing of experience and/or expertise in completing of jobs of similar size and scope. FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors need to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items or offeror can submit Online Representations and Certifications. This application is an e-Government initiative that has been developed to replace most of the paper based Representations and Certifications (Reps and Certs) process, known as Section K, by creating an Internet application that allows user access 24/7. ORCA is an on-line system that is located on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov and clicking on Online Reps and Certs Application. 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement statutes or executive orders-commercial items, applies to this acquisition. AFRCFAR 5352.222-9100 Applicable Wage Rates Wage Determination No. 1996-0067 Revision 15 dated 07/07/2005 is applicable: Material Handling Laborer $9.00 and Truck Driver, Tractor-Trailer $13.02.
