Description

The U.S. Army RDECOM - Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier Systems Center, Natick, MA has a requirement for commercially available laboratory equipment utilizing FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This requirement will be a 100% small business set-aside. This will be a for a Firm Fixed Price type contract. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 423490 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Government envisions a single purchase order for this acquisition (but reserves the right to award multiple purchase orders). This procurement is for the purchase of one (1) each of the following equipment: 1) 07-E040 ProtoCOL HR Colony Counter w/17inches flat panel monitor SIN#66-122. MICROBIOLOGICAL COLONY COUNTER. Integrated viewing, illumination, and electronics unit; colony detection and counting; automatic calculations of dilution s, mean, for cfu /ml; clear identification of the colonies actually counted (illumination of sample); LED lighting; serial and parallel ports; network card; Storage: CD-ROM; USB & drivers; Camera: CCD video with electronically variable shutter speed; High resolution: greater than 0 .1mm for smallest detectable colony & zone sizing resolution of less than 0.05; Illumination: incident light and transmitted light, dark field and LED arrays; Measurement modes: pour plate, spiral, spread, inhibition zone; two se ctor and whole frame counting; user defined dilution series; universal power; color differentiation for multiple samples per plate; data is automatically collected into tables; report format includes study and batch conditions, time, date, user; measuremen t time of less than one second; exportation of data from counting software program to Microsoft Excel; multiple image file formats and image printing with data; printing capability; autothreseholds for software to adjust to plate color , full color; shape discrimination; selectable detection sensitivity; adjustable size limit controls; validation procedures; selection of spiral plating volumes used for sample; manual counting; exclusion of counting areas; OR EQUAL ACCESORIES FOR COLONY COUNTER. Peristatic dispensing pump; automated filling of containers from test tubes up to bottles (1mL to 9999mL); dispensing accuracy of +/-0.1mL for up to 20mL, and +/- 1mL for volumes above 20mL; automatic filling for doses 1 mL to 999mL; universal power; manual modes; reversible pump direction; sterilization unit; dilutions; OR EQUAL 3) STERILISATI ON UNIT FOR MEDIA DISPENSER/DILUTER; OR EQUAL 4) 15-E002 Mix 2. MEDIA MIXER (STOMACHER). Blending in sterile bags for microbiological analysis; variable time and speed; no contact between sample and machine; 100 up to 2000mL; automatic; timer; OR EQUAL ACC ESSORIES FOR MIXER. Additional bags and bag holders; OR EQUAL 5) 07-E034 Color Analysis Software for HR SIN#66-122. SOFTWARE FOR COLONY COUNTER. Allowing for color differentiation between colonies; etc.; OR EQUAL 6) 15-A001 Waste Drawer for Mix2. ACCESSORIES FOR MEDIA DISPENSER/DILUTER. Additional tubing, bolts, consumable parts; tubes, tube holders; bottles and bottle holders; OR EQUAL 7) Training.
