Description
The purpose is to provide 1. Fielding and Training - Field the Mobility Inventory Control Accountability System (MICAS) to sites in the continental United States and areas outside of the continental United States. This will include set-up of the har dware/software at select locations, load data into MICAS, and barcode Chemical Defense Equipment (CDE). Train MICAS users to include administrators, warehousemen and management. 2. Software Installation and Troubleshooting  contractor should be proficie nt in troubleshooting MICAS hardware/software issues, create Army specific software changes, coordinate with PM MICAS for recommendations and new technology, be familiar with automation information technology (AIT) used with MICAS, provide information and partner with the MICAS sustainment team, develop upgrades/enhancements to MICAS, and provide customer satisfaction. 3. Contractor Knowledge and Expertise  contractor must possess the following: experience and history of MICAS infrastructure, experience w ith AIT currently being utilized by MICAS, experience of Air Force utilization of MICAS, familiarity of RF Network and Air Fortress capability as it relates to MICAS, training of MICAS, developing/integrating functional automated systems, familiarity with DoD directives and standards, technical design, planning, development and testing of integrated computer-based systems to include database and network skills, conceptual definition, development, test and operational phases of the system life cycle, and ass ess requirements for new or modified management information systems, performing detailed systems design, and preparing written specifications and documentation. The period of performance is expected to be 09 August 2006 to 08 August 2008. The requiring o fice is TACOM-SBC, Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL. The first work year will be defined as 2,088 hours per year. The second year, which constitutes an option, will be defined as 1,044 hours per year. The proposed contract will be a competitive smal l business set-aside.
