Description

DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)3, with John Hopkins University to acquire assistance with research and development services for perfor mance of High Resolution, HLA allele Level typing for Class I (A,B, and C) and Class II (DRB1, DQB1, and DRB2,3,4) loci on 30 blood samples. This requirment is for continuation of service by John Hopkins University for HLA work. The continuation of work is to allow for consistency of results and reduction of potential technical variability. The period of performance will be one year. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, responses received by June 5, 2006, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a compe titive procurement.
