- The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to apply restriped traffic markings on a section of the Natchez Trace Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service. This section approximately 25 miles in length between mileposts 135.0 and 160.0 in Leake and Attala counties in Mississippi. This section receives restriping only. Bid quantities are as follows: 24.57 miles restripe broken yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic); 5.11 miles restripe solid yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic); and 50.0 miles restripe solid white edge line (40 mil hot spray paint). Contract award is anticipated to occur in time for operations to commence in late summer, 2006. Work shall be concluded within 30 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $25,000 to $100,000. Procurement is being conducted under full and open competition procedures under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237310 with a size standard of $31.0 million. This notice is not the solicitation. The solicitation package will be available on or about June 13, 2006, with quotations due on or about July 7, 2006 (see solicitation for exact date quotations are due). The solicitation will be issued as an Request for Quotations electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The Standard Form 18 is available at the website by clicking on the "printer friendly form" link. The remainder of the solicitation (including all pertinent attachments) is available at the site by clicking on the link "clauses and attachments," which is located in the blue box near the middle of the screen. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov.
