Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13 and the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition will be solicited to SRC Computers, Inc. Colorado Springs, CO. 80907 as a sole source procurement for Upgrade of existing SRC-6 Reconfigurable Super Computer Model 4.2.0.0.0 to 4.2.1.8.1. Equipment will be used to support a research project for the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA. This announcement constitutes the solicitation. A written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N00244-06-T-0605. The solicitation document and provisions incorporate clauses of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Circular 2005-09 and DFAR Change Notice 20060512. The SIC code is 3571. The FISC Code is 7030, the North American Industry Classification System Code is 334111 and the Size standard in number of employees is 1,000. This solicitation is set aside for small business. The requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001, 16 Port hi-bar switch and CARTE switch feature, 1 EA; CLIN 0002. Bank of Common Memory 8GB and Carte memory feature, 1 EA; CLIN 0003, On Site Installation, 1EA; CLIN 0004 Shipping 1 EA. Offerors are required to complete and include a copy of the following provision with their quotation: Far 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items Alt I. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies with paragraph (a)completed as follows: Failure to provide adequate information, which will allow the requesting activity to properly evaluate the proposal, will deem the proposal unacceptable, and no longer eligible for award. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1, Paragraph (b)(5): Offers shall provide an express warranty which at a minimum shall be the same warranty terms, including offers of extended warranties, offered to the general public. Express warranties shall be included in the contract. Offerors are also reminded to comply with DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 1998). LACK OF REGISTRATION IN THE CCR WILL MAKE AN OFFEROR INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. OFFERORS MAY REGISTER VIA THE INTERNET AT http://www.ccr.gov/. Offerors shall complete electronic annual reprsentations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with required registration in the CCR database. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
