Description

Notice of Intent to award as a sole source requirement to Eden Village Motel & Cottages for a block of 8 hotel rooms for a period of 06/04/2006 through 10/14/2006. Requirement is that hotel is located in downtown Bar Harbor, ME and within a 5 mile distance to the ferry and cruise ship docks. Room rates must not exceed the authorized GSA lodging rates for the area. This proposed contract action is for lodging for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Intersted persons may identify thier interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals to be used to plan for future requirements. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals, however, all proposals received by the closing date and time will be considered for future requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the descretion of the Government. Informatoin received will normally be considered soley for the prupose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement for future requirements. Any vendor who believes that they can provide the required item should email thier company's capabilities information to the attention of Robert Sieferman no later than 4:00 PM EST, June 1, 2006 at robert.sieferman@dhs.gov. Only email responses will be accepted.
