Description
The National Park Service, Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site, located in Danville, CA, is seeking a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to replace existing Courtyard irrigation system and rehabilitate Courtyard Landscape including lawn, plant beds, French drains, rock wall, and accessible path. Plant Turnaround Loop and Courtland Entrance according to plans we provide. Plant privet hedge and two coast live Oak Trees inside fenced area on the South Side of Tao House according to plans provided. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site at http:ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Interested contractors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the web site. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The service is provide for convinence only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the web site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this web site periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the procurement documents. No other notifications will be sent. Project Description: The anticipated work includes, but is not limited to the following: (a) Turnaround -extend existing irrigation system station to perimeter to water two (2) Black Walnut Trees with full bubber sprinkler heads: (b) Courtyard Landscape - remove (approx) 4,325 square feet of existing fescue turf. Removing existing irrigation system from lawn areas and planter beds including PVC pipe, valve, valve boxes, sprinkler heads, and electrical wiring. (c) Repair irrigation system at Tao House - The area located inside the deer fence on the south side of Tao House has an existing irrigation system. Shorten the existing irrigation system water lines to irrigate proposed privet hedge. This procurement is unrestricted. The National Park Service welcomes the participation of Women Owned and Minority Firms, and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOB). This is not a Request for Proposal. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued o/a June 19, 2005 with a closing date of o/a July 19, 2006. The RFQ will state whether a Site Visit will happen. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 36, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS Code for this project is 712120. Award selection will be based on the overall best value to the government after considering price and factors other than price.
