Description
The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Pearl Harbor is seeking sources to provide husbanding services to support U.S. Navy ships, U.S. Navy submarines, and Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships visiting the State of Hawaii Hawaiian island ports and anchorages. The contractor shall provide all supplies and services required by a ship during a port visit such as water taxis,; rental vehicles; trash removal; collection holding tank (CHT); sewage treatment; porta potties; potable water; land line and cellular telephones; tugs; pilots; linehandlers; fresh provisions and other subsistence; laundry services; waste oil and aggregate water removal; forklift and crane services; brows, platforms, separators, JLGs (manlift), fenders, camels, etc; cargo dryage; portable radios and pagers; fuel, and force protection services. The requirement includes pre-arrival and post-arrival actions. The overall requirement involves the management and coordination of port services, ensuring Force Protection measures are implemented, facilitating any subcontracted services or supplies, and generally satisfying the requirements of the ships? personnel. Contract duration will be a base period of one year and four option years. Interested parties shall provide to the Government information as follows: (1) Name of company, include company address, a contact person?s name, telephone number, and email address; (2) Company size (please specify as either large, small business, or 8a); (3) Describe in detail the scope and experience of past and current similar contracts within the past five years and describe the firm?s capability to perform the work (contract number, dollar value, point of contact, phone number). Responses must be received by 2:00 p.m. HST on 6 June 2006. The purpose of this notice is to identify potential sources and their capabilities. The solicitation is expected to be issued within the next three weeks. A separate notice announcing the solicitation will be issued. ***THIS NOTICE IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND A CONTRACT WILL NOT BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS.*** Respondents should include applicable Dun and Bradstreet Number (DUNS), Tax Identification Number (TIN), CAGE code, and indicate if actively registered on Central Contractor Register (CCR). The Government will not pay for any materials furnished in response to this notice. Submittals furnished will not be returned to the sender.
