- Description
- The Contact Point for this project is Richard D. Feller, Contract Specialist, (817) 886-1056. Design and construct two standard design large battalion headquarters facilities with options for classrooms. Construction may be one or two story, IBC Type 5, with requirements to meet selected Unified Facility Criteria upgrades for Fire Protection, Anti- terrorism-Force Protection, and Mass Notification. The project includes administrative space, conference rooms, classrooms (optional) and training areas, mailroom, supply and storage, information systems. Supporting facilities include utilities, electric service, exterior lighting, water, sewer, gas, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, parking, storm drainage, information systems, and site improvements. Access for individuals with disabilities will be provided. Heating and air-conditioning will be provide d by self-contained systems. Project is located at West Fort Hood, Texas. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this project is 236220, which corresponds to SIC 1542. The Small Business Size Standard is $31 Millio n. This will be an UNRESTRICTED solicitation, the solicitation number for this project is W9126G-06-R-0064. The solicitation is tentatively scheduled to be issued on or about June 15, 2006, with proposals due on or about July 18, 2006 (unless otherwise st ated in the solicitation). The construction project price range is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Proposals from Large business firms must comply with FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a Subcontracting Plan. The contract award wi ll be based on Best Value to the Government, which may or may not result in accepting the lowest-priced offer. To determine best value, the Government's proposal evaluation will consist of but not be limited to evaluation of the offerors technical and man agement capabilities as well as price.
