Description
Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Program Management Support Services The Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE), on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G3, Training Directorate (DAMO-TR) intends to award a sole source award to Alion Science and Technology, 10 W 35th St., Chicago, IL 60626-3717 to support Army s training and leader development missions as a bridge contract for 3 months and a 3 month option period. Alion is the only contractor who can continue the support without major set backs. The contractor support to the Training Directorate includes suppo rt requirements in the following areas: program management support for the Training Mission Area (TMA), Army Distributed Learning (ADL) Program, Army Transformation, The Army School System, Range Modernization program, the Constructive Simulations program , the Functional Area Assessment of Temporary Duty for Institutional Training, Institutional Training, the Leader Development Program, Collective Training, the Joint National Training Capability, Detainee Operations and selective subject matter expertise, as required. The contractor provides the necessary personnel, management support, materials, facilities and other services as required to perform the work. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negoti ate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all capability statements received by 12 June 2006, 10:00 am. A determination by the Gover nment not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
