Description: The Senior Advisor is responsible for providing overall technical and financial management of the prevention portion of the HIV/AIDS portfolio. The Senior Advisor will be responsible for assisting the HIV/AIDS team in providing technical expertise in cross-cutting approaches to HIV/AIDS prevention, including the involvement of youth, the uniformed services (federal police, the military), religious leaders, civil society and community. S/he will provide technical expertise, serve as project manager for a range of prevention activities and serve as a resource and point person for the Ethiopian PEPFAR team. S/he will be responsible for coordinating prevention and policy issues with the Government, the US Government PEPFAR team, USAID other donors, and non-governmental organisations working in the area of HIV/AIDS.
