Description: 100% Set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) under the authority of PL 108-183 Veterans Benefits Act of 2003, Section 308. The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned business enterprises. Upgrade the Roofing on Six Buildings at the Desert Studies Center, Mojave National Preserve, Baker, California, Soliciation Number N8380060031. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise to perform all operations required for successful completion of the project named above. The six buildings are at the Desert Studies Center located within the Mojave National Preserve, site is the former Zzyzx Mineral Springs Resort. Work site is 11 miles southwest of Baker, California. Work consists of installing a new rigid roof insulation board and a fully adhered single-ply membrane rood over the entire roof. The work also consists of installing new flashing, membrane cover strips and accessories per manufacturers standards. Work will reqiuire temporarily removing and replacing with same, conduits, water lines and evaporative coolers. New insulation may be required for patching former roof penetrations. Installation of new scupper drains where needed. The NAICS code for this project is 238160 and the small business size standard is $13 million. Contract duration is 90 days following the notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $100,00 and $250,000. This procurement is an Request for Proposals (RFP) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties at a later time and date. Responses are due in 30 days.
