Description

THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The U.S Geological Survey Water Resource Division, Water Science Center, Richmond, VA has a requirement for the purchase of MicroLab, field-deployable, in-situ, nutrient monitors (ammonia) and accompanying equipment (guard assemblies, detectors(ammonium), transit cases, deck leads, tool kits, reagent bags, battery packs, SDI-12 interface cables). USGS requires these monitors to accurately measure extremely low nutrient concentrations. Also, the monitors must maintain continuity of long term data measurements already collected. USGS requires on-site training, deployment assistance, recovery assistance, as well as, maintenance for the monitors. It is in the best interest of the government to fulfill this requirement via a sole-source procurement due to the government's ability to receive a sizeable trade-in credit on previously acquired equipment; additionally, components of this requirement have previously been procured by the government. The anticipated award date is June 13, 2006, under the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.00. NAICS is 334513. No additional synopsis will be published.
