Description
The United States Marine Corps Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV) Embedded Training (ET) simulation capability is currently being developed to provide realistic simulation of operational mission scenarios, own-vehicle performance, mission rehearsal, and associated entities in a network architecture to support full-crew training. The ET system currently only provides thermal views of the simulated visual environment through the EFV crew station displays. The United States Marines Corps Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV) program is developing requirements for expanding its Embedded Training Capability. Marine Corps units are in special need of high quality visual display systems sufficient providing high fidelity out the window visual representation. The purpose of this Request For Information (RFI) is to gather information to assist the Marine Corps in formulating its requirements for presenting the simulated Out-the-Window (OTW) view provided by the on-board Embedded Training Image Generation System, and identify qualified respondents who are able to meet our objective. Objective (s). To identify lightweight, transportable, and ruggedized Visual Display solutions that can provide the OTW view for the Gunner?s Daysight (including symbology) and Vehicle Vision Blocks to the EFV, whenever embedded training is desired. The types of training performed are crew and collective tasks in support of Marine Air Ground Task Force Operations. All vendors with an appropriate product relating to the objectives are invited to submit a Capability Statement. Capability Statements should discuss the products capabilities against potential requirements, the products system requirements, and any other relevant information that would enhance the Government?s understanding of the information submitted. This request for information in no way implies either implicitly or explicitly that respondents will be compensated in any way by the US Government for information or materials provided. It does not constitute a solicitation and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. All information provided becomes USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED
