Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice: The Architect of the Capitol is soliciting proposals to provide light fixtures with lamps per specification Section 16511 - Interior Lighting and the fixture schedule. The contractor shall provide all hardware, spare lamps, extra ballast and lenses as required in specification 16511. The contractor shall provide the cut sheets and or shop drawing for each type of lighting fixture within 5 business days after award of the contract. Award will be made based on the lowest price that meets the specification and fixture schedule. All light fixtures will be shipped at the contractors expense to the James Madison Building, Washington DC. All delivery vehicles will be required to report to the Off-site Delivery Center for the U.S. Capitol Police located at 4700 Shepherd Parkway S.W. Washington DC for inspection before proceeding to the James Madison Building. One shipment is preferred. The contractor is not required to install the fixtures. The solicitation will be available in hard copy or electronically on or by June 9, 2006. This solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION, AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. The date scheduled for receipt of proposals is July 6, 2006. THIS SOLICITATION IS ISSUED ON AN ?UNRESTRICTED BASIS? INVITING FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
