Description

Operational Contracting, United Sates Air Force Academy, CO, intends to award sole source Blanket Purchasing Agreement utilizing simplified acquisition procedures to Tornier, 12875 Capricorn Drive, Stafford TX 77477 for Tornier human surgical implants, to include but not limited to elbows, shoulders. These prosthesis selections are determined on a case by case basis by age, anatomy, and which prosthesis provides the best overall outcome. The USAF Academy Surgical Staff have been trained and are proficient with Tornier for shoulder arthroplasty to achieve a successful anatomical and durable reconstruction. Cases indications are displaced fracture or glenohumeral arthritis with massive, irreparable rotator cuffs tear. The requirements include total joint replacement kits and/or individual components for revisions to prior joint replacements. Blanket Purchasing Agreement shall be issued to: Tornier 12875 Capricorn Drive, Stafford TX 77477. The requirements described herein are only available from the above sources. The Government has determined that no other sources can satisfy these agencies requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for Quotes. If a response is not received by 18 June 2006, 1400 hours Mountain Time Zone, to the effect that comparable products are available that would be most advantageous to the Government than obtaining these products through sole source procurements to the above vendors, sole source awards will be accomplished.
