Description
The Olympic National Forest, Washington, intends to acquire by contract: roadway settlement and fill slope repair, including culvert removals and replacement, deep patch installation, clearing and grubbing, seeding and mulching, and hauling of excavated material. This project also requires hot mix asphalt patching and placement of geosynthetics. The government will proceed to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) Solicitation restricted to HubZone small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value is between $100,000 and $250,000. The projects are located on the Olympic National Forest, Pacific Ranger District: Sections 17 & 18, Township 30 North, Range 11 West, W.M.; and Section 25, Township 30 North, Range 12 West, W.M., near Forks, Washington. Project site may be reached by travelling from Forks, Washington, on U.S. Hwy. 101 to Forest Service Road No. 30. Travel 0.40 miles to the first project site. The performance period is 90 calendar days. Performance and payment bonds are required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to this solicitation. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. This solicitation will be available on or about June 26, 2006. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
